The project includes two sites just off the pier and the strand in Hermosa Beach, California. The project is the combination of a luxury amenity rich boutique hotel and a destination restaurant. Spread across two sites, the hotel sits off the beach and will be a quiet, inward focused and arranged around landscaped courtyards. The hotel on the beach will be much smaller and share the building with the restaurant and bar. The beach front building is a combination of large and small indoor and outdoor spaces on the strand and on the rooftop.

11th Street Site:
The organization of the 11th street site takes advantage of the views to the beach while at the same time with its inward focus creates a curated guest experience that provides separation from the hustle and bustle of the nearby Strand and the many restaurants and bars on Pier Avenue. A pavilion set into a landscape will serve as the lobby and is the appropriate transition and welcome to this little oasis for the guest from the busyness of the beach and streets to the lushness and privacy of the hotel. The lobby will share the space with a library, a breakfast room and an outdoor patio. At the ground level the hotel rooms are organized around an internal courtyard while the second-floor rooms are organized around the rooftop deck that is used exclusively by guests during the day or eve.
