Jose Jimenez

Director of Projects

Jose Jimenez joined HansonLA in 2017 and is currently working on various projects in the Los Angeles area ranging from mixed-use developments undergoing the entitlements process to commercial tenant improvements in construction. In his work, Jose takes a pragmatic and conscientious approach to the realities and constraints of every project to better focus on the details that make them unique. He believes that architecture should be functional and also playful, and that by playing within the constraints that something new and iconic can be created.

Jose’s body of work includes mixed-use, high-end residential, hospitality, commercial and interior renovations. Prior to joining HansonLA, he was a Project Manager at Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) in New York City working on an 11-story mixed-use development in Harlem, New York. He was also a Project Director at Clodagh Design International, overseeing the design and construction of the East Hotel in Miami, the Miraval Spa in Arizona, the Abington House in New York and several high-end residential renovations.

In addition to his professional work, he has been guest critic at Pratt Institute, the New York School of Interior Design and at Parsons The New School. Jose is originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico.
