Cultural

HansonLA’s cultural work has its origins in president Douglas Hanson’s roles as project architect for Frank Gehry and Associates’ Guggenheim Bilbao and as consultant project architect for Renzo Piano’s California Academy of Sciences. We have insight into large-scale public initiatives and project management. We understand institutional team structures and audience responsibilities. And, we know what it means to work on community landmarks. Still, we revel in the little things; out of artifacts and objects, we design spaces that tell stories and make connections.
